HI,
we upgraded our 7.1 SMP server with SP2 MP1 rollup V7 as we were having problems with file copy jobs on Windows 7. This fixed it once we rolled the agent update out.
Unfortunately, on brand new installs (any machine that did not have an existing Symantec agent on) file copy now fail with "command to get n/w credentials has failed".
If we configure a file copy job to run directly from a UNC path it works, but if the job is the default 'upload it from the local system' (so it gets added to the site server in the task handler directory and assigned guid etc.) it fails.
It can't be share or ntfs permissions because we have tested changing the file copy job to the UNC path that gets created when you create the file copy job under task handler and it works.e.g. task handler\copy file\guid
This only affects new installs of the Symantec client and any older version that has been upgraded are fine.
I have manually set the agent connectivity credentials as stated in http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=tech183436
but this did not help. The registry keys refered to in that article do not exist, so i presume that it is no longer used. Resetting to app credentials does not create the keys
Any ideas?
