The creation of the redistributable installer package is time consuming and results in a install pkg size of 600+MB. This must be downloaded to be used of course. Some small business clients still have relatively slow Internet connections (a few Mbps) so the download is also time consuming. If an install pkg is over 30 days old, it cannot be used. You do not find this out until you get most of the way into the install.
Since the install package is specific to the client, if the pkg is too old, rather than informing the client that they must recreate a new pkg from scratch, the suggestion is to inform the client of the out of date situation and then automatically update the pkg for the client. Updating must be more efficient than recreating from scratch. If the update cannot be accomplished for some reason, then inform the client that they must recreate it.
