We are using 7.1 SP2 MP1 and have upgraded one of our site servers' WinPE2 environments to WinPE4. The upgrade was pretty smooth, thanks to this HowTo: http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO85100
Once I added all the packages I needed to the .wim file all our scripts and imaging tasks worked properly. However, the Reboot To Production task isn't working. It reports as successfull, but the PC doesn't reboot. It stays in WinPE4. The RebootTo.log looks fine, as if the task was successfull. The pectagent.log reports that it has received the request to stop receiving tasks, which means after the initial Reboot To Production is sent, no other tasks will be received. So now the PC is sitting in WinPE4, not rebooting and unable to receive any tasks. Our other WinPE2 environments are not having this issue.
I'm not exactly sure how the Reboot To Production task works, but it seems to be getting stuck on something after it receives the task and before being told to reboot. Or maybe the PC has been told to reboot and fails to, but the pectagent did it's job so it kind of shuts down???
The PC PXE boots fine and loads WinPE4 fine with the Windows 8 driver so I don't think it's the network driver. I'm at a bit of a loss here. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
