In WinPE I lose my USB devices after adding a storage driver in GSS

After I add the necesary storage device driver to my WinPE OS to see the internal hard drives in my HP Z420 workstation I no longer see my USB flash drive device.  I see it before I add this AHCI Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology Enterprise Driver.  I am using "DISKPART" to list my "disks" and "volumes".

Anybody have an idea or see this behavior before?
