Dear Symantec,
Thanks so much for the latest improvements to ITMS in ITMS 7.6 - they are very useful.
However, I am often wondering what is going on within the Symantec Management Agent because it is just sitting there and doing nothing. Well, that is what it seems to be doing and after all, there are no tasks showing up in the Task Status tab.
Howeveer, if you look deep into the logs, you can see that it is doing something that is considered to be "internal" to the Agent, such as downloading an package (the BDC?) from a server or running the BootWiz.exe and sometimes, these do not show up in the logs, either. This can mean that you are looking at a machine for a long time and seeing nothing and wondering if the system is working and when something might happen. Also, watching the Windows Task Manager can be just as mystifying.
What would be useful would be to see the internal processes in the Task Status tab.
So... can we please have an option/checkbox in the Task Status tab to show "internal" tasks within the Symantec Management Agent?
Kindest regards,
QuietLeni
