Using Symantec End point protection 12.1.4023.4080
Two weeks ago or so a clients PC's could not get to a hosted website and after reboots most the time it fixed the issue.
That and the file server would not let you add user to rights on folders along with being really really slow just looking up who had rights.
Today I found trying to bring up the Symantec AV console on the server it told me I could not as the service was not running.
I started the symantec endpoint protection service back up and the file servers rights issues on folders were fixed. It could see who had rights faster and you could not add people to the rights.
Then about an hour later he had a user that could not get to the hosted site and checked the same thing on a workstation and found that service stopped on this system.
Once he started it the user could login to the hosted site.
So why all of a sudden are these services stopping?
This system has been on place for a few years.
