Dear Symantec,
I am using Deployment Solution 7.5 HF6 to deploy machines and I have noticed one thing that the Prepare for Sysprep job does not do.
The HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DevicePath registry setting sets where the OS is to find its drivers.
One of the things that SysPrep does is scan the DevicePath entry for useful directories to find drivers (and it goes into subdirectories as well) and if DeployAnywhere is set up, then it should find the drivers in the following directory (and sub-directories):
%Program Files%\Symantec\Deployment\DriversDB
At the moment, DA does include the essential paths in C:\Drivers within the DevicePath registry entry, but it does not include the main path, as mentioned. This does end with some of the drivers not being installed, as we have seen, but when I manually include the DriversDB path in the DevicePath entry, this then works.
Can we please have the DriversDB path included in the DevicePath registry entry?
Kindest regards,
QuietLeni
